Laura Doherty has become the fourth finalist to be voted off Pop Idol.
The 20-year-old, from Londonderry in Ireland, notched up the least votes from viewers after her performance of 'A Licence To Kill'.
"I expected to go this week," she said afterwards. "I've been preparing for this all week so I sort of knew it was going to happen. Zoe and Rosie can't stop crying but I got all my crying done the first week I was on the couch. I really am fine about it.
"I've been invited to come back next week and ITV 2 presenter Kate Thornton has even offered to pay for my flight! The voice coaches, Carrie and David, have also said I can stay at their house if I need to. I'm really going to miss being in the show but when it's all over, I can hold my head up high."
Next week, the remaining six contestants will perform ABBA songs.
