Valentine's Day: Which is the greatest TV couple ever?

Whether you're stuck at home with cheese on toast and a bottle of red wine for one, or planning a candlelit dinner with roses and chocolates, there's nothing better to do on Valentine's Day than snuggle up with a duvet (or your partner) and watch a classic soppy episode of your favourite TV show.

But which is the greatest romantic TV couple of all time?

If you grew up in the '90s there's a strong chance the line "I got off the plane" still chokes you up and it's Ross and Rachel from Friends every time.



There's a strong tradition of loved-up couples in sitcoms from Tim and Dawn/Jim and Pam in The Office, Rodney and Cassandra in Only Fools and more recently Nick and Jess in New Girl.

American football drama Friday Night Lights proved that a stable, happily married couple could make great drama thanks to Connie Britton and Kyle Chandler's incredible performances as Coach and Tami Taylor. Are they the best ever?
