BBC Three's 'Junior Doctors' beats ITV2's 'The Big Reunion'

The Big Reunion's audience fell sharply this week as 670,000 watched Thursday's (February 14) third edition.

The eight-part ITV2 series, featuring '90s pop groups B*Witched and 5ive, has already spawned an arena tour after ratings soared to 1.1m last week.

However, the third edition averaged 673k - a 3% share - in the 9pm hour, adding a further 194k on ITV2 +1.

BBC Three's Junior Doctors: Your Life in Their Hands beat the programme, returning with 856k (3.9%) in the same slot - capping a strong week for the digital channel.

Both Junior Doctors and The Big Reunion were toppled by an ITV3 repeat of Vera, which attracted 919k (4.2%) between 8pm and 10pm, topping the multichannels.

Barring the soaps, Crimewatch was the most-watched terrestrial broadcast with just 4.01m (18.2%) at 9pm, while 1.13m (5.1%) saw Winter Road Rescue on Channel 5 (+1: 111k).

Charlie Brooker's Weekly Wipe continued with 1.08m (5.7%) on BBC Two at 10pm.



Earlier in the evening, Britain's Secret Shoppers delivered 1.58m (7.1%) to Channel 4 at 8pm (+1: 180k), while The Planner grabbed 1.5m (6.8%) on BBC Two.

Overall, BBC One topped primetime with 20.9%, ahead of ITV's 17.2% (+1: 0.6%). BBC Two followed in third place with 6%, beating Channel 4's 4.8% (+1: 0.7%), and 5's 3.9% (+1: 0.3%).
