Mitchell & Webb
The show, made by UK company Objective Productions, is currently on its fourth series on Channel 4, with a fifth already commissioned. Starring David Mitchell and Robert Webb, the UK version is on its second season on BBC America in the US.
Curb Your Enthusiasm executive producer Robert Weide is believed to be linked as writer and director.
Objective and Pangea will jointly produce. Andrew O'Connor, chief executive of Objective, will executive produce along with Objective head of comedy Phil Clarke, Weide and RDF USA's Chris Coelen.
The project is in early development and is a rare move into sitcom for Spike, best known for dramas The Kill Point and Blade, and showing reruns of The Shield, CSI, Star Trek and The Dukes of Hazzard.
Spike TV is part of the Viacom-owned MTV Networks and predominantly caters for a young male audience.
