Cowell offered US TV deals

Pop Idol judge Simon Cowell has been offered "millions" to host a US version of the show, according to The Sun.
FOX and HBO are both said to have made offers, with one poised to sign him within the next few days. Network executives are hoping he will be the next Anne Robinson, who has made a huge impact with The Weakest Link on NBC.
An unnamed source told the newspaper: "He loves being famous in Britain but to make it in America would be another thing altogether. They seem to have a soft spot for British TV stars at the moment and the networks think Simon could be a huge hit. The money they are talking about is staggering. It's more than he could make from British TV or a record company."
