Peep Show comic David Mitchell will host new Channel 4 entertainment show Was It Something I Said?.

The series will feature two teams battling against each other in a battle of wordplay "to deduce who said what".

Mitchell's entertainment show credits include hosting BBC Two quiz show The Bubble and acting as team captain on panel shows Best of the Worst and Would I Lie to You?.

It was also confirmed today that Mitchell would be returning to Channel 4 alongside Charlie Brooker, Lauren Laverne and Jimmy Carr for another series of 10 O'Clock Live.

Mitchell is also currently filming a new BBC sitcom with Robert Webb and Keeley Hawes.

Channel 4's spring/summer launch today (March 19) also confirmed Peter Kay's return to the channel in spoof documentary Malachy's Millions, Greg Davies's new comedy Man Down and E4's Drifters, a comedy drama about a group of 20-something women experiencing their first slice of life outside of university and making all the wrong decisions.
