Lang poached for BBC Four News

Kirsty Lang is to move from Channel 4 News to the BBC, where she will present the evening news bulletin on BBC Four, it has been confirmed.

Lang will front one bulletin per week alongside main anchor George Alagiah. She will also act as reporter for the programme, which will air five nights per week at 8pm on the channel, as well as simulcasting internationally on BBC World.
Sarah Smith is now being tipped to take over Lang's role as main female anchor on Channel 4 News, where she currently works as a reporter.
