Cilla Black to host one-off 'Blind Date' on ITV for 50th anniversary

Cilla Black will reportedly return to ITV for a one-off Blind Date special.

The presenter will host the classic dating game as part of a programme marking her 50 years in the entertainment industry.

Paul O'Grady will present The One and Only Cilla Black, which will also feature the entertainer returning to her home city of Liverpool for a nostalgic trip.

Barbara Windsor and Christopher Biggins are expected to be among her celebrity friends who will appear on the programme.

Blind Date producers are aiming to bring back some of the show's most memorable contestants who are still single, giving them a second chance to win a date.

Cilla Black said: "I can't believe its been 50 years since I started this incredible journey. I've made some wonderful friends over the years and experienced some magical moments.

"I'm thrilled to be back at ITV to celebrate these in a special one off entertainment show."

Amanda Holden once appeared on Blind Date back in 1990, while presenter Jenni Falconer also made her TV debut on the show in 1994.
