Katie Hopkins makes Holly Willoughby cringe on 'This Morning' return

By
Katie Hopkins made Holly Willoughby hide in horror and threatened to sit on Phillip Schofield as she returned to This Morning for the first time following her controversial comments about children's names.

Schofield warned viewers to get "YouTube at the ready" as the former Apprentice candidate appeared on the ITV show today (September 10) to defend her stance on 'lower class' names and take part in a new debate about whether it is right to miss children's birthdays for work.

Stating that she "absolutely stand[s] by everything" she said in July and finds it "quite fun that people shout out loud down the street", Hopkins also claimed to have received support from members of the public on her remarks.

"Then there's the Holly school of thought that's not so pro," Hopkins commented, to which Willoughby replied: "Not really, but I said my piece on that last time."

However, when Hopkins took a shot at online parenting community Netmums, describing them as a "rather boring... mammary militia", Willoughby couldn't help but gasp, hide behind her notes and sink into the sofa.

The I'm a Celebrity star then defended her stance that work takes priority over her three children, describing birthdays as "rather like trains, there'll be another one".

Responding to Hopkins's claims that her children recognise she needs to work "in order to have nice things", Willoughby accused her of being "emotionally defunct" and "forcing [them] to make grown-up choices".

Hopkins got more personal with her rival debater Shona Sibary, who urged her to "celebrate the magic" of birthdays, arguing that the writer and mother-of-four had no right to comment as she "stuck her kid in a boarding school".

She also poked fun at Sibary's yellow outfit by saying that the experience was "like being shouted at by a lemon".

When Schofield referenced Hopkins's 9-year-old daughter India, the reality star angrily told him: "Do not bring India up again Phillip or I will sit on your lap."

He replied: "That's possibly the worst thing I've ever heard of all the things you've said."

Hopkins has repeatedly defended her outspoken nature, declaring that she is "only saying what everyone else thinks".
