Holly Willoughby should present 'Blind Date', says Cilla Black

Cilla Black has revealed that she would like Holly Willoughby to bring back hit ITV show Blind Date.

The 70-year-old presenter, who was the original host of the dating programme, told the Celebrity Juice panelist that if anyone were to present a revamped version of the show, she would like it to be Willoughby.

Speaking on ITV's This Morning, Black spoke about hosting a one-off edition of Blind Date during 90-minute special The One and Only Cilla Black, which airs tomorrow (October 16).

"I loved doing it," said Black. "I was a bit rusty because it was all change."

Presenter Phillip Schofield then suggested that Black should present another series of the show, to which Black replied: "Well God bless you, but I wouldn't want to do it full-time."

Schofield then said to Willoughby: "Well maybe you should do it?" to which Black agreed: "Oh yeah, you should do it!"

The 32-year-old replied: "Well… it is an amazing show... I used to love it very much!"

Black also revealed that she is starring in an upcoming episode of Surprise Surprise - the show which she originally hosted in the 1980s and '90s and that Willoughby now fronts.
