'Educating Yorkshire' finale tops quiet Thursday evening ratings

The finale of Educating Yorkshire topped a relatively quiet Thursday evening outside of soaps, according to overnight data.

The Channel 4 series attracted 2.62 million viewers (12.4%), up around 150,000 from last week. An added 384k (2.4%) tuned in on +1. Earlier, George Clarke's Amazing Spaces gathered 1.98m (9.0%) at 8pm (446k/2.1%).

BBC One's Truckers rose by 60k from last week to 2.31m (11.0%) at 9pm.

It edged out ITV's Breathless, which lost over 500k with 2.13m (10.1%) at 9pm (143k/0.9% on +1). Britain's Secret Treasures interested 2.24m (10.4%) at 8.30pm (132k/0.6%).

On BBC Two, Nigellissima brought in 1.29m (6.1%) at 7.30pm, while Trust Me, I'm a Doctor appealed to 2.42m (11.0%) at 8pm. Documentary No Sex Please, I'm Japanese was seen by 1.78m (8.4%) at 9pm.

Channel 5's Benidorm ER was seen by 975k (4.4%) at 8pm. Countdown To Murder attracted 1.27m (6.0%) at 9pm (109k/0.7%). The Person of Interest premiere thrilled 926k (5.7%) at 10pm (133k/1.4%).

On ITV2, Celebrity Juice entertained 1.01m (6.1%) at 10pm (189k/2.0%).
