BBC Two's Great British Sewing Bee dropped around 500,000 viewers from last week's opener to 2.57m (10.9%) at 8pm. Permission Impossible gathered 1.47m (6.9%) at 7pm. Later, documentary The Necessary War brought in 1.56m (6.5%) at 9pm.
ITV's coverage of Manchester United's Champions League loss scored 4.98m (21.2%) at 7.30pm.
On Channel 4, Kirstie's Best of British appealed to 1.53m (6.5%) at 8pm (226k/0.9% on +1), followed by The Taste with 768k (3.2%) at 9pm and new series Strippers with 1.33m (8.1%) at 10pm (194k/2.2%).
Channel 5's Benidorm ER attracted 781k (3.3%) at 8pm, while The Mentalist excited 1.08m (4.5%) at 9pm (188k/1.1%). Law & Order: SVU was seen by 737k (4.4%) at 10pm.
BBC Three's new series Hair interested 784k (3.3%) at 9pm, followed by the return of Pramface with 487k (2.7%) at 10pm.
On E4, Troy amazed 447k (2.7%) at 10pm (112k/1.3%). Sky1's final Extreme World with Ross Kemp brought in 300k (1.3%) at 9pm.
