James Corden and Gary Barlow to take road trip for BBC One documentary

James Corden and Gary Barlow will embark on a road trip of the UK for a one-off BBC One documentary.

Take That singer Barlow will discuss his nearly-25 year career with the Gavin & Stacey actor on the show, including his wilderness years and successful comeback.

When Corden Met Barlow will see the pair drive around the country, visiting the places of Barlow's upbringing and adult life.

Robbie Williams, Sir Elton John and Chris Evans will also appear in the documentary, along with family and friends of the singer.

Charlotte Moore, controller of BBC One, said: "BBC One brings you this special documentary starring two of Britain's biggest characters, which sees James Corden take a road trip with Gary Barlow to discover the real story of his remarkable career."

The show is expected to air later in 2014.

James Corden previously interviewed Robbie Williams for a one-off documentary for Sky1 in 2012.

The BBC was previously criticised after arranging a day devoted to Gary Barlow last year.
