Turner Networks Europe have today announced the launch of Boomerang, a new animation channel, on May 27th. The station has been expected since a successful test run on the Cartoon Network over the Christmas period.
Programming will rely on the Hanna-Barbera library, featuring programming such as Scooby-Doo Where Are You!, Help... It's the Hair Bear Bunch, Hong Kong Phooey, Wacky Races, Top Cat, Inch high Private Eye and Josie and the Pussy Cats. The channel will be on air from 6am - midnight and has so far secured carriage on the SkyDigital service, and is currently in negotiations with ONdigital and several cable companies.
