Britain's Got Talent tops Saturday night with 8.8m

Britain's Got Talent continued to dominate Saturday nights, averaging more than 8.8m last night (May 3), according to overnight data.

The ITV talent show attracted 8.83m (42.3%) from 7.15pm, with an additional 731k (3.6%) on +1. Britain's Got More Talent aired on ITV2 to 1.22m (6.2%) afterwards.

Also on ITV, Amazing Greys managed 2.55m (12.9%) from 8.30pm (+1: 241k/1.4%) before a repeat of Prey took 954k (5.4%).

On BBC One, The National Lottery: In It to Win It earned 3.02m (14.3%) from 7.40pm before Casualty and The Guess List were watched by 4.68m (23.6%) and 3.29m (17.8%) respectively.

BBC Two aired live snooker for most of primetime, averaging 1.88m (9.7%) from 7pm.

On Channel 4, repeats of For the Love of Cars and Grand Designs drew in 345k (1.7%) and 664k (3.2%) respectively, and a film showing of Green Zone took 607k (3.5%).

Channel 5 showed two repeat episodes of NCIS. The 8pm instalment was seen by 538k (2.6%), while 9pm's episode was caught by 717k (3.8%). Earlier in the night, Longmire grabbed 453k (2.2%).

On the multichannels, Doc Martin continued with 638k (3.3%) from 8.35pm on ITV3.
