Happy Valley drops nearly 1m on Tuesday

Happy Valley was top in the ratings outside of soaps on Tuesday, despite a big drop from last week, overnight data reveals.

The BBC One drama fell by around 900,000 viewers to 5.4 million (25.3%) at 9pm. Later, Comedy Playhouse one-off Miller's Mountain amused 1.8m (14.5%) at 10.35pm.

On BBC Two, The Big Allotment Challenge appealed to 1.9m (9.2%) at 8pm, followed by Watermen: A Dirty Business with 1.8m (8.3%) at 9pm.

ITV's airing of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire thrilled 2.3m (11.3%) at 7.30pm (256k/1.4% on +1).

On Channel 4, Embarrassing Bodies intrigued 1.1m (5.7%) at 8pm (197k/0.9%), followed by Mr Drew's School of Boys with 1.5m (6.8%) at 9pm (286k/1.8%). 16 Kids and Counting brought in 911k (5.6%) at 10pm (132k/1.6%).

Channel 5's Nightmare Neighbour Next Door gathered 1.4m (6.9%) at 8pm (103k/0.5%). Behind Closed Doors was seen by 1.1m (4.9%) at 9pm, while The Mentalist continued with 846k (5.1%) at 10pm.

On BBC Three, the Eurovision Semi-Final entertained 558k (2.7%) at 8pm, followed by Sweat the Small Stuff with 344k (1.9%) at 10pm.

Dave's Storage Hunters finale attracted 590k (3.0%) at 8pm.
