Britain's Got Talent second live show drops over 1m on Tuesday

Britain's Got Talent easily topped Tuesday's ratings, despite dropping over a million viewers from Bank Holiday Monday's first live show.

Overnight data reveals that the second live semi final dipped by 1.3m to 7.8m (34.9%) at 7.30pm on ITV. A further 413,000 (1.7%) tuned in on +1.

The results show brought in 6.4m (27.4%) at 9.30pm (546k/4.1% on +1), while ITV'2s More Talent entertained 416k (2.6%) at 10pm.

On BBC One, Happy Valley dropped 500k from last week to 5.3m (22.2%) at 9pm.

BBC Two's Springwatch appealed to 2.3m (10.2%) at 8pm, followed by new series Welcome to Rio with 1.6m (6.8%) at 9pm.

On Channel 4, Location, Location, Location interested 1.1m (4.7%) at 8pm (99k/0.4%). New series The Complainers was seen by 857k (3.6%) at 9pm (230k/1.5%), while Embarrassing Bodies attracted 762k (4.8%) at 10pm (160k/2.0%).

Channel 5's The Mentalist gathered 793k (3.3%) at 9pm (272k/1.7%), followed by CSI with 557k (3.5%) at 10pm.

On Sky Atlantic, Penny Dreadful continued with 218k (1.9%) at 9pm.
