'Grease' stars split from partners

The remaining Grease Is The Word contestants received a huge shock this week when they were told that they had been assigned new partners.

Judge David Ian announced the twist after gathering the hopefuls at the Piccadilly Theatre in London, where the winners will perform each night. Though the contestants were initially shocked by the news, David insisted that it was important for them to be challenged.

"As a professional working in the theatre, you could come into work on any given day to find that your leading lady or leading man is unwell and not able to perform," he explained. "You need to be able to go on stage, turn that chemistry on, and give the same performance. This week is your ultimate test."

The new couplings will be revealed to viewers tonight at 8pm on ITV1.
