'Mr World' comes to Challenge

Challenge, the game show entertainment channel, has signed an exclusive deal with the Miss World Organisation and Zeal Television to bring the first-ever televised Mr World event to UK television.
The deal follows Challenge's ratings success with Miss World 2006, which saw a huge increase on the channel's slot average for the 2-hour live final event in September.
The Mr World 2007 event took place in Sanya, China on March 31, 2007. This 2-hour acquisition airs at 6pm on Sunday June 3.
Celia Taylor, director of programmes, Bravo, Trouble and Challenge said: "Challenge always loves a bit of glamour and we're really excited about being the first channel to bring Mr World to UK audiences. It's a match made in heaven alongside Miss World later in the year and firmly cements Challenge's as the home of the biggest beauty pageant franchise in the world".
This agreement was negotiated by Brad Wood, acquisitions executive for Challenge and Andrea Jackson at Zeal Television.
