Town House TV has secured a two-year deal with UKTV Australia and New Zealand to provide 300 episodes of its daily confessional talk show, The Trisha Goddard Show.
The news comes as Five has extended the current series in the UK, ordering a further 30 shows for 2007, bringing the total for the year to 180 episodes.
The deal with UKTV Australia and New Zealand will begin in July 2007 and builds on the success of a previous two year agreement which was inked in 2005. The episodes will air at the same time as in the UK.
Trisha Goddard moved to Five in 2004, and set up Town House TV with ex-Granada Productions format chief Malcolm Allsop in the same year. The company employs around 50 full-time staff in Norwich and at Maidstone Studios where The Trisha Goddard Show is produced.
Allsop, Town House's managing director, said: "We are delighted to have signed this new deal with UKTV Australia and New Zealand. Trisha Goddard is already hugely successful in the UK, as proved by Five's commitment to the show. This new deal demonstrates how the problems Trisha tackles are truly universal."
Five's controller of daytime, Kim Peat, said: "Audiences love Trisha on Five. She is able to reach out and touch the lives of so many people in the UK. I'm really pleased that we're able to bring viewers extra episodes of Trisha this year."
