'Apprentice' star Tre advised to cheer up

Tre Azam

Apprentice star Tre Azam is too "miserable" to be hired by Sir Alan Sugar, according to last year's contestant Syed Ahmed.

Syed, who went on to have an affair with series two co-star Michelle Dewberry, has denied claims that he is similar to Tre.

"He's got great business acumen but he needs to lighten up a bit," Syed told the Daily Star Sunday. "Who would want to work with someone miserable? He's got a long way to go to be like me, that's for sure."

Ahmed will star in a new Sky One documentary next month which follows his attempts to launch a body-drying product.
