'The Apprentice': Week 10 Recap

Published Thursday, May 31 2007, 14:54 BST | By Nick Levine
This week on The Apprentice, Sir Alan challenged his six remaining protegés to prove their sales skills on live TV. Each team was instructed to choose four products to present, demonstrate and sell on the Ideal World shopping channel.

Simon and Kristina volunteered to serve as project managers. Simon opted to sell on his own, leaving his team mates Naomi and Tre to sell as a pair. Naomi's TV presenting skills were impressive, but the products she chose for Simon to sell proved unpopular. Most disappointingly, only two viewers chose to snap up the indoor trampolines she had selected.

Kristina volunteered to sell on her own, leaving her team mates Katie and Lohit to sell as a duo. Kristina's presenting skills were wobbly - she was unable to assemble the cleaning device she was attempting to demonstrate - but her team's products proved reasonably popular with the shopping channel's viewers.

Simon's team made £921.79, but Kristina's team managed to sell £1,339.10 of goods. The victorious trio were promptly sent off to a luxury Turkish bath as a reward.

The three members of the losing team - Naomi, Simon and Tre - were automatically sent to the boardroom. Sir Alan criticised Tre's inability to accept criticism, but the beknighted businessman chose to fire Naomi. The former Advertising Sales Manager, he reasoned, deserved to be eliminated from the competition for making bad product choices.
