Ben voted off 'Any Dream Will Do'

Ben Ellis was the ninth contestant to be voted off Any Dream Will Do last night.

As well as their usual solo songs, the four remaining contestants had performed duets together from musicals written by judge Andrew Lloyd Webber. Once all of the performances were over, it was announced that Ben Ellis and Lewis Bradley had received fewest votes from the public.

Asked by host Graham Norton to use his power to save one of the two hopefuls for the final time, Lloyd Webber said: "It's a really, really difficult decision. Lewis."

"I'm obviously disappointed that I didn't quite make it to the final, but I kept fighting," Ben explained. "All the lads still in there are amazing and I wish them the best of luck."

The final of Any Dream Will Do airs next Saturday at 8.05pm on BBC One.
