'Grease Is The Word' finalists hit back

Finalists on Grease Is The Word have hit back at claims made by Alison Crawford that the show is a fix.

Crawford claimed that the show's judges Ian, David Gest, Sinitta and Brian Friedman have been manipulating the public vote in order to ensure that the contestants that they want to win come out on top.

The show's female finalists - one of whom will play Sandy in the stage version of Grease after winning - are reportedly shocked by the claims.

A source told the Mirror: "Susan and Michelle are extremely upset that someone they thought was a friend could do this to them.

"They have both worked so hard on this journey and feel they have earned their places in Saturday's final fair and square.

"For Alison to come out and say what she has completely belittles their achievements. They were thrilled to get through but this has left a very bitter taste."

David Gest however, saw the funny side of the claims, assuring the programme's viewers: "The only thing fixed on this show are the hairs on David Ian's nose!"
