'High School 2' video to premiere this weekend

The Disney Channel is to premiere the first music video from the follow-up to its biggest homegrown hit, High School Musical.

A 5-minute music video for the opening anthem of High School Musical 2, a song called What Time Is It, will air at 10.25am tomorrow, Saturday June 9.

"This song from our opening number sets up the story for High School Musical 2 and the music video provides the first glimpse of footage from the sequel, so our viewers in regions around the world will certainly know what time it is - time to countdown to HSM2," said Gary Marsh, president, entertainment, Disney Channel Worldwide.

The video features characters Troy, Gabriella, Ryan, Sharpay, Chad, Taylor and the rest of the East High Wildcats awaiting the end of the school year, counting down the minutes until their summer vacation begins.

The movie, High School Musical 2, will premiere on the Disney Channel later this year.
