Nesbitt discusses work on 'Jekyll'

James Nesbitt has described forthcoming BBC drama Jekyll as a "fantastic challenge".
The former Cold Feet actor has revealed that he was delighted to be offered the lead role in the modern retelling of Robert Louis Stevenson's novella Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
"We set it now, its full of technology, we think in these Orwellian times of everyone watching. Whereas Victorian Hyde was monstrous and fanged, our Hyde the baddy is supposed to be cool, attractive and sexy, the modern face of evil we think is sexy so they had a bit of work to do on that," Nesbitt told Parkinson.
"It was a fantastic challenge for an actor to be given two parts, I've always been amazed to get one part never mind two! As great as it was also because of the history the project brings because everyone even if they've never read the novella knows something about Jekyll and Hyde. We are familiar with that world so it puts a bit of pressure on you."
Parkinson airs at 10.25pm tonight on ITV1.
