India is the latest country to get its own version of successful gameshow, 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?'. Star TV, one of India's biggest broadcasters, will launch the show in July, under the title Kaun Banega Crorepati? (=Who wants to become a millionaire?).
The top prize will be 10 million rupees - which sounds a lot, but is in fact only £145,000.
Hosting the show will be Bollywoood film star Amitabh Bachchan, who commented: "Television is one medium I haven't done anything on. So I decided to take on the assignment. Besides, I thought it would be different from what I do in films."
