CBBC Channel to be interactive
The channel, which launches alongside CBeebies on February 11, will utilise the Corporation's interactive capabilities to bring enhancements to it's programming lineup.
The Saturday Show Extra will be a new programme running alongside BBC One's The Saturday Show between 9am and 12 noon on Saturday mornings, coming live from the backstage area of the show.
Three interactive video streams will be available to viewers on the digital satellite platform. The first will run The Saturday Show as on BBC One, the second will be a live, three-hour behind-the-scenes programme with extra interviews and gossip, and the third will feature cartoon favourites in Tiny and Mr Duks' Pick & Mix. Viewers can select between the three feeds, or watch all of them at once.
Xchange is a new daily show, airing three times a day, five days a week, with seven presenters. Featuring entertainment, gossip, music and sport; the programme will be interactive to allow viewers to send in their responses to the topic of the day. Guests in the first week include S Club 7, Westlife and Misteeq.
