Tuesday slot for Coronation Street

The traditional Wednesday edition of Coronation Street is to move to Tuesdays this Spring, ITV announced this afternoon.
The episode will broadcast on 8 occasions in the 8pm slot on Tuesdays, starting February 19. ITV said that they had made the change to "allow Street fans to enjoy the show earlier in the evening, rather than scheduling Wednesday's episode late after Champions League football."
Previously, Coronation Street has been screened at 9.45pm on Wednesdays following the live football.
"This temporary move enables Coronation Street fans to watch their favourite programme at a familiar time," said David Liddiment, ITV's director of channels. "There are some gripping storylines coming up on the next few months and the climax to the Champions League will be just as exciting."
Coronation Street will be screened at 8pm on February 19, February 26, March 12, March 19, April 3, April 9, April 23 and May 14. The programme will revert to its normal Wednesday pattern on all other weeks.
