MTV Networks and HP announced today that Meet or Delete, the multi-platform reality show which links young people together through what they share on their computer, has been commissioned for a second series starting this September.

Aired on mobile, Internet and TV platforms on MTV channels in Europe, the US and Asia-Pacific, the show is sponsored by computer firm HP, who due to the success of series one has nearly doubled the size of its renewal sponsorship for 2007.

The show will run to 36-episodes in the second series, with mobile TV and websites in Europe airing four short-form shows filmed in Sweden, Spain, Germany and the UK.

Gideon Bierer, senior vice president of digital media, MTV Networks International, said: "Meet or Delete delivers on our digital promise to reach audiences wherever they are. It’s a great example of a creative idea which has been developed across platforms - mobile and online as well as on-air – and customized for MTV audiences in Europe, Asia and the US."

The show is based those taking part deciding to 'meet or delete' based on the contents of the other person's hard drive. As part of the new series, the Meet or Delete website, www.MeetorDelete.com, has been expanded and now enables users to build profiles, upload videos and photos.

The site will showcase episodes from around the world including all of series one, unseen footage, interactive games, free music downloads, updates on previous cast members and chances to appear on the show.
