Victoria Beckham lands ITV show

Victoria Beckham is being lined up to present her own ITV show, according to reports.

The singer was rumoured to have signed up to present a new six-episode chatshow for the network in the Autumn, in a deal worth £180,000. Bob Massie, Granada's deputy head of entertainment, has played down those claims, however, saying that they are talking to the star about a show which will focus on "real people".

"There have been numerous discussions between ourselves and Victoria Beckham about a variety of projects that she would like to work on," he told the Media Guardian. "The kind of show we're looking at is more likely to feature real people than to be a chat show.

"We think Victoria has a very nice way about her - much more so than people formerly thought - and we're obviously keen to talk to her about the kind of projects she is interested in working on."
