Rowling: 'Some will loathe it'
Speaking in a documentary for ITV, to be shown later this year, the author says: "Some people will loathe it. For some to love it others must loath it. That's the nature of the plot."
The documentary follows JK Rowling's life for a year and shows her finishing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final book in the series due to be released on July 21.
Elton John also appears in a documentary for the channel's season line-up. Elton John: Me, Myself and I uses "cutting edge special effects" to take viewers on a journey through the singers life.
The Iraq War By Numbers sees Rageh Omaar reveal the human stories behind the war in a 60-minute documentary from Mentorn Productions.
Other shows for ITV this autumn include the return of I'm a Celebrity..., Saturday Night Takeaway and X Factor. Hell's Kitchen also returns with chef Marco Pierre White running the kitchen.
Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe stars as Rudyard Kipling's son in My Boy Jack, with Sex And The City actress Kim Cattrall playing his mother, and Sir Derek Jacobi stars in an adaptation of Charles Dickens's The Old Curiosity Shop. Other drama adaptations include a modern take on Frankenstein and E M Forster's A Room With A View.
In sport, ITV has this week signed the rights to show Amir Khan's next six fights exclusively on ITV, plus there will be coverage from the 2007 Rugby World Cup, Formula One, UEFA Champions League and the Grand Slam of Darts.
