The creators of the hit cartoon series admitted that although they never thought the show would last as long as it has, as long as the viewers keep enjoying it they will keep making it.
"No end in sight! No end in sight!" Groening said. "We're having fun, we hope the audience has fun, and as long as that's true, we'll continue doing the show."
Al Jean added: "In terms of new episodes, we're doing another season after the movie comes out for sure, and then the casts' contracts expire, but I'd love to get another three seasons and maybe another movie."
