BBC Three has acquired the UK rights to a new drama about life at an American college.
Greek - a reference to US fraternities and sororities - follows a group of young people who are "looking for freedom, love, sex and friendship, while dealing with cheating boyfriends, nerdy younger brothers and girls obsessed with beauty and popularity".
The series has drawn in more than 1 million viewers for US cable network ABC Family. BBC Three has picked up the full first season of 20 x 1 hour episodes.
"I'm delighted to have Greek as part of our BBC Three drama offering," said the channel's newly-installed controller, Danny Cohen. "It brings a very different kind of flavour to the channel, and is a further enrichment of the drama plans we're developing, including the pilots announced last month."
