BBC/Discovery co-production Fight for Life has been purchased by the Australian network Seven.

The six-part documentary looks at the human body in crisis at different stages in a human's life and uses nanotechnology, electron microscopes and CGI. The series was made in partnership with Germany's independent production platform DCTP.

The final of the series, shown in the UK on August 13, pulled in 3 million viewers and a 14% share at 9pm on BBC One.

Amber Knight, BBC Worldwide Australasia’s senior sales manager, told C21: "It’s a thrilling look at how the human body rallies under the most extreme circumstances. The show is an incredibly intimate look at the human body in crisis."

The show will air in Australia this month, and makes up a package of show that have been licensed from BBC Worldwide.

Seven has also picked up Louis Theroux shows Under the Knife, Gambling in Las Vegas and The Most Hated Family in America, along with Indus Films production Everest ER and The Woman Who Can’t Stop Lying from True North Films.
