ITV rehab comedy to get full series
ITV has commissioned a full series of Baby Cow rehab comedy The Abbey for 2008.

The pilot, which aired on ITV1 earlier this year, starred Morwenna Banks as an ex-rock chic who sets up a rehab centre. Written by Banks herself, the show also featured Russell Brand and comedy actors Omid Djalili, Reece Shearsmith, Liz Smith and Miranda Hart.

The new series for ITV2 will star Saxondale's Rasmus Hardiker, who also appeared in the pilot. He told DS: "We're shooting it January time."

Hardiker can also be seen alongside Steve Coogan in a second series of Baby Cow's Saxondale, which returns to BBC Two on August 23.

Baby Cow is currently producing an online interactive sitcom WherearetheJones? with viewers able to contribute script ideas and plots for the comedy.

Check back on Sunday for a full interview with Baby Cow co-founder Henry Normal about the project.
