Schwimmer: 'Friends' is not an "albatross"

David Schwimmer / 'The Big Nothing'

David Schwimmer has claimed that he never regrets starring in Friends because it gave him the "financial freedom" to pursue other projects.

The star of The Big Nothing insists that he doesn't mind forever being associated with the character of Ross Gellar as the money was so good for working on the series.

Schwimmer told the Daily Telegraph: "I'm often asked whether Friends has been an albatross around my neck, or whether people only see me as 'Ross from Friends', but I don't ever think negatively about it.

"Really, that show had been a blessing, It's given me the financial freedom to choose the projects I really want to do."
