Channel 4 goes for a third 'Transmission'

Channel 4 has ordered another series of Transmission, the T-Mobile sponsored music show fronted by Steve Jones and Lauren Laverne.
The new 12-part series, which begins on September 21, includes performances from Kate Nash, Stereophonics, The Magic Numbers, with special guests such as Paul Weller and film director Quentin Tarantino.
The At It Productions show will come from venues around the country beginning with Victoria Baths, Manchester, then Cambridge, Sunderland, London, Cardiff, Southampton, Glasgow and Nottingham.
Steve Jones said: "There's really no way of describing Transmission with T-mobile other than really really bands, really really guests and really really good. Friday nights are about to grow very big Transmission shaped balls, it's series three and I promise they are going to be bigger and hairier than ever!"
The show airs on Friday September 21 at 11.30pm on Channel 4 for a run of 12 weeks, with highlights on T4 on Saturday at 10.30am.
