Adele Silva enjoys mucky 'Kitchen' jobs
Published Wednesday, Sep 5 2007, 14:38 BST | By Daniel Kilkelly

Along with her fellow celebrity contestants, the former Emmerdale actress was asked to blow torch pigs' trotters and pull off a langoustine's head this week.
"I found blow torching the pigs' trotters quite exciting," Adele admitted. "I think I am a bit sadistic because I really enjoyed ripping the head off the langoustine as well!
"I love doing the pigs' trotters. You have to blow torch the knuckles and then you have to burn away the hairs and then split the toes and burn off the hairs between the toes. It's like burnt hair, it smells like death."
However, some of the other celebrities did not have the same attitude. Lee Ryan refused to kill a langoustine and walked out of the kitchen, while Abbey Clancy made an attempt before giving up and handing the job over to sous chef Tim.
Abbey explained: "We had to kill the langoustines - twist their bodies. I couldn't do it. I attempted to do one because I hate it when you see girls on the TV going 'oh no!' But I just don't want to kill a live thing, I will eat it when it's on the plate but I don't want to kill it."
Hell's Kitchen airs at 9pm nightly on ITV1.
