Channel 4 to revamp weekend daytime

Channel 4 has been looking at new shows which could revamp its weekend afternoon and early evening line-up.
On the channel's commissioning site, it says the channel has "created a slot on Saturday early evening and another slot on Sunday early evenings for new shows and are actively searching for new ideas to pilot with the aim of commissioning shows for early 2008."
It said for Saturday it was looking for shows that "celebrate the weekend" and offer "slightly more upmarket" shows than currently appear on BBC One and ITV1 at that time.
For Sundays, the channel said it was looking for content that was "slightly more younger skewed than the Antiques Roadshow feel on BBC One" and "a family vibe perhaps, but one where the men of the household could watch happily as well."
However, a Channel 4 spokesman told The Guardian that the channel already had a number of ideas for the new slots and was not currently looking for any more.
