Nick drops food during 'Kitchen' final

Maitre d' Nicholas almost caused catastrophe on Hell's Kitchen when he tripped over and dropped two of finalist Barry's shepherd pies and narrowly missed covering model Caprice in the food.

When Nick fell to his feet he muttered "oh s**t", before former Kitchen chef Jean-Christophe Novelli helped him clear the mess up.

Former celebrity contestant Abbey Clancy was in the kitchen assisting Barry and witnessed the fall, saying: "Oh you're kidding me! He fell over with the shepherd's pies!"

Before returning to the kitchen, Nick joked to the onlooking diners: "It brings some excitement to the evening!" He then asked Barry for two more shepherd pies and told him: "The carpet really enjoyed them".

The scenes will be shown in tonight's final of Hell's Kitchen on ITV1 at 9pm, with the winner of the series being announced live.
