Jane Seymour has flown back to the UK after learning of the death of her 92-year-old mother.
The actress missed the live results show on this week's Dancing With The Stars to travel home upon hearing the news.
Mieke Frankenberg died at her home in west London on Monday from complications following a stroke earlier this year.
Seymour recently revealed that she decided to take part in the US show because it was her mum's favourite programme.
She said in a statement: "My mother survived incredible challenges... Her health issues that she never complained about... three and a half years in a Japanese concentration camp in World War II and the loss of her husband John, who was the love of her life.
"However, she was always a beacon of love and hope for all she met and especially for my sisters Anne and Sally and for our entire family. Her spirit was indomitable and will continue to live forever in our hearts."
The 56-year-old has admitted that the hectic rehearsing schedule on the show has left her "exhausted".
