The resurgent pop princess will perform classic songs from her two-decade pop career and tracks from her forthcoming album X on The Kylie Show.
Minogue's long-term creative director William Baker is to assist with the show's visuals.
Minogue said: "Working with ITV on this special has been an incredibly exciting experience. My creative team and I are preparing a fabulous evening with a mixture of old songs, new songs and lots of surprises thrown into the mix as well."
The Kylie Show was commissioned by Guy Freeman, ITV’s controller of music and events. "We are delighted to be bringing Kylie to ITV1 in what will become the must-see TV event of the Autumn," he said.
ITV1 has yet to announce details of when The Kylie Show will air.
It is not the first time that Minogue has hosted a one-off special for ITV1. She helmed an episode of the channel's long-running series of celebrity specials An Audience With in October 2001.
