Dame Edna creator receives CBE

Dame Edna Everage creator Barry Humphries has been made a CBE by the Queen.
The Australian comedian described the honour for services to entertainment as "extraordinary", saying: "This is the highlight - the first of many."
Humphries, who showed up at Buckingham Palace without his alter-ego's comedy glasses and wig, managed to resist referring to the Queen as the "Jubilee Girl".
Dame Edna famously introduced the monarch with the phrase during the Golden Jubilee celebrations in 2002. Recalling the name, Humphries said: "Dame Edna is bolder and less politically correct than me. I think people liked it when she called the Queen the 'Jubilee Girl'. It caught on."
He also made no mention of his cultural attaché alter-ego Sir Les Patterson, telling reporters: "Les wasn't mentioned. He's already a knight but I'm not sure it's legal."
The 73-year-old, who is celebrating 50 years as a performer, commented that it felt odd to have his back to the audience while receiving his award.
"It felt very unnatural. It was a little disconcerting," he said, adding: "Someone else who was getting a CBE said I suppose this is the end of the road. I thought perhaps I should ask the Queen if she had any future plans for me, but I forgot."
