Georgia Mackenzie had to smear herself in cream cheese to persuade a dog to lick her for a new ITV1 comedy.
The Waking the Dead actress stars in the 90-minute film Catwalk Dogs, which centres around the world of pedigree dog shows.
She told The Sun: "I had to have cream cheese on my face so he would lick it. I don’t think it even made the final cut!"
But she felt relieved that she was not required to cosy up to a rottweiler in the show, saying: "I was really scared when I heard [there] was a rottweiler, but actually he was very sweet, kind of like a teddy bear.
"The thing with rottweilers is that if they are trained to be vicious, they are so massive that you would have no chance. But they are quite docile as pets."
Kris Marshall also stars in the comedy, written by Men Behaving Badly creator Simon Nye.
Catwalk Dogs airs on October 21 on ITV1.
