Comedy sketch show Armstrong and Miller is returning to TV after a break of six years.
Alexander Armstrong and Ben Miller have been concentrating on their individual careers since starring in three series on Channel 4.
Armstrong was a highly-regarded guest presenter on Have I Got News For You, while Miller appeared in both The Worst Week of My Life and Primeval.
But the pair - who were encouraged to reunite by their wives - admitted to concerns that they will be unable to keep up with the new shows that have emerged in their absence.
Armstrong told The Sun: “You have to tread a fine line with the comedy. You don’t want to be that terrible middle-aged person harping back to being 20. But you still want to get that new perspective.”
Miller agreed: “Yes, it’s much more undignified for men our age to be lumping around in silly outfits and wigs. I just think it's funny."
However, they revealed that old characters such as Inspector Jack Force and Craig Children will be making way for a new cast when the series airs on BBC One. Miller said: “We’ve done a whole sketch about somebody who goes into a chemist, and is waiting and waiting. Finally he can’t stand it anymore, so goes into the little room out the back and discovers a whole other world. Like Narnia.”
The duo will also recreate a classic Morecambe and Wise sketch for a special BAFTA 60th anniversary programme on ITV1.
The Armstrong and Miller Show starts on BBC One on October 26.
