'Popstars' stitched me up, says Waterman

Pete Waterman has claimed that he was "stitched up" by the makers of Popstars: The Rivals.
He insists that the show's producers lied continually and that being left to manage boyband One True Voice was a nightmare.
Waterman told The Sun: "I’ve never said anything about this before, but that was the worst experience in my life.
"I got stitched up on the TV show, but at the time I didn’t come out and shout about it, I acted like a professional.
"Then I was tied up with five human beings who, when put together, were appalling. We had psychiatrists in, and how the police didn’t arrest them every night of the week I’ll never know. It was horrendous."
The music mogul added: "If you look back at what was going on there were lies, lies and damn lies – and Popstars: The Rivals took lying to the absolute maximum.
"I fall about laughing when I read all these accusations about the BBC, because if ITV sat me in a room I could tell them stories that would make their bloody hair fall out.
"I’ve now learned that the truth is you’ve got to tell the truth."
