'Red Dwarf' short film competition unveiled
Red Dwarf fans have been encouraged to submit short films about the series on YouTube in a new competition by Grant Naylor Productions and BBC Worldwide.

Robert Llewellyn, who played the hapless Kryten in the cult BBC comedy, will be awarding a unique prize to the winner from a shortlist voted for by the YouTube community. The films must revolve around a review of a favourite episode, DVD or DVD extra of the show and be uploaded onto the BBC Worldwide YouTube channel.

Robert Llewellyn said: "This is the chance every Red Dwarf fan has been
waiting for. Now there is a legitimate reason to get dressed up like a
man with a chewed pencil for a head or to stick on false cat teeth and a
leopard-skin coat. I will be judging the filmed reviews on creativity – the fans are a
really inventive and surprising bunch."
