Ricky Gervais enters 'Dragons' Den'

Ricky Gervais has entered the Dragons’ Den in a spoof trailer for the Extras Christmas special.

The multi-millionaire asks the tycoons for £1 million in the sketch, which has been posted onto the internet.

He begs entrepreneurs including Peter Jones, Theo Paphitis and Duncan Bannatyne to fund the making of the Christmas episode, telling them: "I came up with the most successful British comedy of all time. I’ve got Globes, Emmys, Baftas – I’ve sold five million DVDs."

When an unimpressed Paphitis snaps: "We don’t need to have a short little ego-maniac on TV", Gervais tells him: "You can talk!"

Peter Jones is seen asking him why he needs the money, to which he responds: "Catering, we do go over on the catering budget."

But Gervais retreats empty-handed in the trailer, leaving Jones muttering: "What an untidy messy little git!"

The Christmas special will be the last episode of the hit BBC show. It is expected to feature the Beckhams, Madonna, George Michael, Lionel Blair and David Tennant.
