Springer: 'Guests are like Princess Diana'

The 61-year-old has been condemned for featuring "trashy" contestants on Sky One's Nothing But The Truth, in which participants undergo a lie detector test to answer personal questions.
But he insisted that his guests are just normal people with everyday problems, saying: "In an interview with Martin Bashir, Princess Diana talked about her cheating during her marriage, bulimia and contemplating suicide - these issues are on my show every day. So if people on my show are 'trash' then so is she."
